Every time you open your task manager you will probably see ctfmon.exe running.Even if you try to disable using msconfig by disabling at autostart it wont.
What is ctfmon.exe?
CTFMON.EXE is a file that is installed with Office XP application. It activates the Alternative User Input Text Input Processor and the Language Bar. The program monitors the active windows and provides text input service support for speech recognition, handwriting recognition, keyboard, translation, and other alternative user input technologies
If you are not using these processes so you can disable ctfmon by following steps:
1. Open Control Panel
2. Double Click on Regional and Language Setting (classic View) or Double click on regional,date,time and language setting.
3.Click on Language Tab, then click on Details
4.Click on Advanced tab
5.Place a tick on checkmark box "Turn off advanced text services"
6.Click on Apply and Ok
After Disable ctfmon from autostart list
7. Click on Run and type msconfig
8.Click on "Startup" tab
9. the check mark box "Ctfmon"
10.Do Apply and OK
Now Ctfmon is disable ,if you want to enable it then uncheck the checkmark box "Turn off advanced text services"
